Meet the Founder: Jeremiah Moryl

As a longtime local since 1983, I’ve had the privilege of watching the Lowcountry evolve into one of the most desirable places to live and build. My journey into homebuilding began after earning a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina. I went on to work in my father’s construction company, gaining hands-on experience in everything from site prep to finish carpentry.

In 2003, I became a licensed Residential Home Builder in South Carolina. Just two years later, Tropical Builders, Inc. was born — sparked by an opportunity to work with an investor looking for a builder he could trust. That single project led to a thriving company rooted in service, craftsmanship, and client satisfaction.
